13. The Academic Council (1) Academic Council shall consist of the following, namely:- The Academic Council1.The Vice-ChancellorEx-officio Chairman2.the Director Research Ex-officio Member3.the Director, Extension EducationEx-officio Member4.the Director, Prioritization, Monitoring and EvaluationEx-officio Member5.Deans of all constituent collegesEx-officio Member6.the Chairperson of all facultiesEx-officio Member7.the Director Students WelfareEx-officio Member8.the Controller of ExaminationsEx-officio Member9.the Director, Human Resource DevelopmentEx-officio Member10.the University Heads of all the Departments from each faculty (from teaching campuses not below the rank of Associate Professor)Member11.one teacher of the Professor rank from each faculty to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on rotational basisMember12.one eminent Agricultural Educationist from outside of the University to be nominated by the by Vice-ChancellorMember13.the RegistrarMember14.the Director EducationSecretary (2) Academic Council may co-opt as members not more than four persons in such manner as may be prescribed so as to secure adequate representation, of different sectors of agriculture and allied fields. (3) All members of the Academic Council other than the ex-officio; members and members referred in sub-section (2) shall hold office for a term of two years. (4) One third of the members of the Academic Council shall form quorum at a meeting of the Council: Provided that if a meeting of the Council is adjourned for want of quorum, no quorum shall be necessary at the next meeting for the transaction of the same business. (5) Normally the Academic Council shall meet once in every four months on such dates as may be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor, however, special meetings of the Academic Council can be called by the Vice-Chancellor.
