16. The Proctor.- (1) The Proctor shall be appointed by the President for such period and in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Provost shall ensure discipline in the University and shall keep the various unions of the teachers and employees advised of the various policies and practices in the University. (3) The Provost shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
