54D. Penalty for criminal conspiracy: - Whoever is a party to a criminal conspiracy to commit an offence punishable under this Act shall be punished in the same manner as if he had committed such offence. Explanation: - For the purposes of this section the expression "criminal conspiracy" shall have the same meaning as is in section 120-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act No. 45 of 1860)."]
