58. Penalty for certain acts by Licensee or his servants. - Whoever being the holder of a licence, permit or pass granted under this Act or being in the employ of such holder and acting on his behalf - (a) fails to produce such licence, permit or pass on the demand of any Excise Officer or of any other officer duly empowered to make such demand: or (b) in any case not provided for in Section 54 wilfully contravenes any rule made under Section 41 or Section 42; or (c) wilfully does or omits to do anything in breach of any of the conditions of the licence, permit or pass not otherwise provided for in this Act: shall be punished for each such offence with fine 2[ of five thousand rupees] five hundred rupees.
