25. Delegation of powers.-(1) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, delegate to the Compensation Commissioner, or any other officer subordinate to it, all or any of the powers conferred upon it by this Act, other than those conferred by section 7 and 30. (2) Subject to any general or special order of the Government, the Compensation Commissioner or the Collector may delegate, with the previous sanction of the Government, all or any of the powers conferred upon him by this Act to any officer subordinate to him or to any officer of the Revenue Department not inferior in rank to that of an Assistant Collector.
