Section 31. Appointment of Patwaris

31. Appointment of Patwaris – Subject to rules made under this Act, the Collector shall appoint a Patwari to each circle for the maintenance and correction of the annual registers and records under Chapter VII 36[for the collection of a all rents, revenue and other demands due from the land holders and tenants of the circle for which he is appointed], and for such other duties, as the State Government may prescribe.
