Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur Act, 2000

5. Objects of the University : The University shall be established and incorporated for the following purposes, namely:- (a) making provision for imparting education in different branches of study, particularly Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science an other allied branches of learning and Scholarship; (b) furthering the advancement of learning and conducting of research, particularly in agriculture and other allied sciences; (c) undertaking the extension education of such sciences/technologies specially for the rural people of the State; and (d) such other purposes as the University may from time to time determine.
