67. Power of Panchayat to charge fees.- A Panchayat may charge fees for any licence or permission granted or given by it for making any temporary erection or for putting up any projection or for the temporary occupation of any public or other land vested in the Panchayat or for any service rendered by it or in respect of any duty performed by it or under the provisions of this Act. (2) Such fees shall be charged at such rates and in such manner as may be provided for in any rules made under this Act or in bye-laws by the Panchayat and it shall be lawful for the Panchayat to lease the levy of any such fees by public auction.
