107. Determination of rent-rates in certain circumstances— In respect of any area for which rent rates have not been determined or in which revision of rent rates before the expiry of the term of the settlement is considered necessary, the State Government may, no notification in the Official Gazette — (I) order that rent-rates shall be determined for such area or any district or part thereof whether by way of revision or otherwise, and (ii) appoint any officer not below the rank of an Assistant Collector, here in after called a Rent Officer, to propose rent-rate in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
