Section 27. Composition and functions of Faculties

27. Composition and functions of Faculties (1) There shall be such faculties in the University as may be prescribed by the statutes. (2) Each faculty shall consist of the following, namely :- (a) Dean of the Faculty- Chairman; (b) University Professors of the subject assigned to the faculty; (c) Chairmen of the Boards of Studies in the Faculty; (d) One post-graduate college Principal and one post-graduate department Head in each subject of the faculty from affiliated colleges, nominated by the State Government; (e) Two external experts nominated by the Academic Council. (3) Faculty shall perform such functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
