Section 86. Recovery of cost of work by the occupier

86. Recovery of cost of work by the occupier When the occupier of a building or land has, in compliance with a notice given under this Act, executed a work for which the owner of such building or land is responsible either in pursuance of the contract or tenancy or by law, he shall be entitled to recover from the owner, by deduction from the rent payable by him or otherwise, the reasonable cost of such work.
