This Act was repealed on 24 August 2011 by the Chennai City Police (Extension to the Chennai City Suburban Area) Repeal Act, 2011 (Tamil Nadu Act 22 of 2011), s.2; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Chennai City Police (Extension to the Chennai City Suburban Area) Act, 2008. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 18th day of July 2008.
