Section 7. Construction of reference to laws not in force in Chennai City Suburban Area.

This Act was repealed on 24 August 2011 by the Chennai City Police (Extension to the Chennai City Suburban Area) Repeal Act, 2011 (Tamil Nadu Act 22 of 2011), s.2; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
7. Any reference in the City Police Act as extended by this Act to a law which is not in force in the Chennai City Suburban Area on the 18th day of July 2008 shall, in relation to the said area, be construed as a reference to the corresponding law, if any, in force in the said area.
