*8. Act not to apply to lands owned by Central Government, State Governments, etc.- Nothing contained in this Act shall apply to any land owned or taken on lease by:- (i) the Central Government or any State Government or any local authority; or (ii) any company or corporation owned or controlled by the Central Government or any State Government; or (iii) any University constituted by any law.
