Section 44. Election of Vice-President.

44. Election of Vice-President.- (1) The Vice-President shall be elected by the Village Panchayat from among its elected members in accordance with such procedure as may be prescribed. (2) If at an election held under sub-section (1), no Vice-President is elected, a fresh election shall be held for electing a Vice-President.
