THE TAMIL NADU PREVENTION OF DANGEROUS ACTIVITIES OF BOOTLEGGERS, CYBER LAW OFFENDERS6, DRUG OFFENDERS, FOREST-OFFENDERS,2 GOONDAS, IMMORAL TRAFFIC OFFENDERS, SAND OFFENDERS4, SEXUALOFFENDERS,7 SLUM-GRABBERS AND VIDEO PIRATES3 ACT, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act No. 14 of 1982)

6. No detention order shall be invalid or inoperative merely by reason- (a) that the person to be detained thereunder, though within the State, is outside the limits of the territorial jurisdiction of the officer making the order, or (b) that the place of detention of such person, though within the State, is outside the said limits.
