Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University Act, 1982.

3. (1) There shall be constituted in and for the State of 9Telangana, a University by the name of 8[Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University] 10[Telangana State] which shall consist of a Chancellor, a Vice-Chancellor, Directors, an 11[*[Executive Council], an *[Academic Senate]] and a *[Planning and Monitoring Board]. (2) It shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said corporate name. (3) In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all processes in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to, and served on the Registrar. (4) The headquarters of the University shall be located at such place within the State as the Government may, by notification published in the 12Telangana Gazette, specify.
