Section 10. Surrender of lease by lessee.

10. The lessee may surrender the lease after giving at least one month’s previous notice in writing and on payment of such compensation as the 10[Collector] may propose with the approval of the 11[Secretary, Local Administration Department] (in case the auction be for one year) or with that of the 12[Government] (in case the auction be for a period of more than one year).
