Section 6. Computation of time.

6. Where, by any Act, an act or proceeding is done, or allowed in any Court or office on a certain date or within a prescribed period, then, if the said Court or Office is closed on that date or on the last day of the prescribed period, the act or proceeding shall be considered as done or taken on the due date or in due time if it is done on the day on which the said Court or Office is open.
