Section 21. Qualification for being elected as a #[member].

21. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act a person who is registered in any #[ward] list 83[and who is not less than twenty one years of age] shall be qualified to be elected as a #[member] for any of the #[wards] in the city. (2) Any person who ceases to be a #[member] shall if qualified, under sub-section (1) and not otherwise disqualified be eligible for re-election as such.
