305[281-A. (1) An officer of the Local Government Service, the bill collector or other employee of the Corporation, entrusted with the collection of sums due to the Corporation under this Act, shall be liable for the loss, waste or misapplication of any money or other property owned by or vested in the Corporation, if such loss, waste or misapplication is a direct consequence of his neglect or misconduct and a suit for compensation may be instituted against him by the Standing Committee with the previous sanction of the Government or by the Government. (2) No such suit shall be instituted after three years after the accrual of the cause of action.]
