116[37. A candidate shall not be deemed to be duly nominated unless he deposits or causes to be deposited such sum as may be prescribed. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, it shall be competent for the Government to prescribe a lesser amount of deposit. Every candidate shall deposit the sum prescribed in the manner specified by the rules made in this behalf.]
