Section 151. Mode of summary inquiry.

151. In summary inquiry the competent officer shall, in the course of inquiry, record a minute of the proceedings in his own hand 178[XXX], containing the material averments of the parties to the case, the gist of the evidence, and the decision and the reasons in brief for the same. But the officer making an inquiry may, if deemed fit, in the cases where an inquiry directed by this Act is to be summary, act under all or any of the rules in force for formal inquiry.
