Section 31. Inspectors, etc. to be public servants THE UTTAR PRADESH DOOKAN AUR VANIJYA ADHISHTHAN ADHINIYAM, 1962

31. The Chief Inspector, the Deputy chief Inspector and every Inspector appointed under section 29, shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.
