28. Ban on direct recharging from open areas into the aquifers (1) In the process of Artificial Recharge to Ground Water from rain water (except from rooftop) falling on open land, ground, roads (paved/unpaved), agricultural farms shall not be allowed for direct recharging into the aquifers through recharge well, bore well, recharge shaft, injection well etc. (2)Any person who contravenes the provision of sub-section-(1) shall be liable to be punished under sub-section (2) of section 39.
