Section 2. Definitions XXXVII of 1948 THE UTTAR PRADESH LOCAL AUTHORITIES (PAYMENT OF CENSUS EXPENSES) ACT, 1950

2. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, "census" means a census held under and in accordance with the provisions of the Census Act, 1948.
