Section 13. Penalty

13. Penalty If any person contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder he shall be deemed to have committed a forest offence and the tendu leaves, if any, in respect of which such offence is committed shall, in relation to the commission of such offence, be deemed to be forest produce, and the provisions of Chapter IX of the Indian Forest Act, 1927, as amended in its application to Uttar Pradesh (excepting Section 69) shall accordingly apply with necessary modifications.
