Section 19. Cognizance and trail of offences

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) (Repeal) Act, 2017 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2017), s.2; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
19. (1) No prosecution for an offence under this Act shall be instituted without the written consent of the Authority or a person authorized in this behalf by the Authority. (2) No court inferior to that of a Metropolitan Magistrate or a Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
