Section 33. Provisions for Permanent Resident Of Uttarakhand
This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 16; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
33 (1) For admission in various courses conducted by the University 25 percent seats shall be reserved for the permanent residents of State of Uttarakhand, and if the reserved seat are vacant, then the said vacant seat may be filled by the other candidates. (2) for tuition fees fixed for various courses conducted by the University, 31 percent rebate shall be given to the permanent resident of the State of Uttarakhand who shall seek admission as per sub-section (1) above. (3) For posts of Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ permanent resident of the state of Uttarakhand shall be given preference.
