This Act was repealed on 21 September 2001 by the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Central Act 16 of 2002), s.7(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
3- [(1) The Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, if any, and the members of the Senate, the Syndicate, the Academic Council and the Finance Committee, for the time being holding office as such in the University shall constitute a body corporate by the name of the University of Roorkee.]2 (2) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.
