Section 9. University open to all persons irrespective of class, caste, creed or gender
SHRI GURU RAM RAI UNIVERSITY ACT, 2016
This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 15; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
9. The University shall be open to all persons irrespective of class, caste, creed or gender; Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making special provisions for admission to students of the State of Uttarakhand; Provided further that nothing in this section shall be deemed to require the University or Constituent Colleges or Regional Centres or Study Centres to admit in any course of study a larger number of students than may be determined by the Statutes.
