This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 10; it may still apply to matters that began before then.

13. (1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the Promoting Society from such persons who shall be a member of the Promoting Society : Provided that the Promoting Society may also appoint Chancellor from persons other than the members of the Promoting Society. (2) The Chancellor shall have such powers as may be conferred on him by this Act or the Statutes made thereunder.
