1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1975. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh excluding cantonment areas. 1[(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on June 18, 1975.]
