Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be called the United Provinces Expiring Laws Continuance Act, 1948.

Continuance in force of Acts mentioned in the Schedule

2. (1) The Principal Acts mentioned in column 1 of the Schedule shall subject to the modification and to the extent specified in column 2, be permanent Acts. (2) Any unrepealed enactments which are temporary in their duration shall, in so far as they amend or affect the principal Act continued by the foregoing provision of this Act, be continued in like manner whether they are mentioned in the schedule or not.
