Section 12-E. Oath of office

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
[12-E (1) [Every person]6 shall, be entering upon any office referred to in sections 11-A [12]3, 43 or 44, make and subscribe before such authority as may be prescribed on oath or affirmation in the form to be prescribed.]1 (2) Any member who declines or otherwise refuses to make and subscribe an oath or affirmation as aforesaid shall be deemed to have vacated the office forthwith.
