Section 16. Functions that may be assigned to Gram Panchayat

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
16- The State Government may, by notification and subject to such conditions as may be specified therein assign to Gram Panchayats any or all of the following functions; namely – (a) management and maintenance of a forest situated in the Panchayat area; (b) management of wastelands, pasture lands or vacant lands belonging to the Government situated within the Panchayat area; (c) Collection of any tax or land revenue and maintenance of related records.]1
