Section 6. Cessation of membership

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
6- (1) A [member of Gram Panchayat]7 shall cease to be such member if the entry relating to that member is deleted from the electoral [roll for a territorial constitutency of Gram Panchayat]8.]4 [(2) Where any person ceases to be a member of a [Gram Panchayat]9 under sub-section (1) he shall also cease to hold any office to which he may have been elected, nominated or appointed by reasons of his being a member thereof.]1
