THE UNITED PROVINCES PANCHAYAT RAJ ACT, 1947

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

60- In imposing any fine the Nyaya Panchayat may order any portion or the whole of the fine recovered to be applied- (a) in defraying the expenses properly incurred in the criminal case by the complainant, [(b) in the payment of any person of compensation for any material loss or injury caused by the offence, or]1 [(c) in compensating any bona fide purchaser of stolen property for loss of the same, where property is restored to the possession of the person entitled thereto.]2
