Section 97. Penalty for infringement of the provisions of the Act

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
97- Whoever contravenes any provision of this Act [except the provisions of section 12-BCA or section 12-BCC]6 shall be punishable, unless otherwise prescribed, with fine, which may extend to [five hundred rupees]4, and when the breach is a continuing one with a further fine which may extend to [fifth rupees]4 for every day after the first conviction during which an offender is proved to have persisted in the offence.
