Section 11. Access to all classes, castes, creed, and gender in the university
The University of Engineering and Technology Roorkee Act, 2020
This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 20; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
11. The University shall be open to all persons irrespective of class, castes, creed or gender: Provided that nothing in this Section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making special provisions for admission to students of the State of Uttarakhand: Provided further that nothing in this Section shall be deemed to require the University to admit in any course of Study a larger number of students than may be determined by the UGC and other concerned Statutory/ Regulatory body.
