Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. (1) This Act maybe called the Uttar Pradesh Bhoomi Evam Jal Sanrakshan Adhiniyam, 1963. (2) It shall come into force at once in the district mentioned in the First Schedule. In the [remaining districts]2 it shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette appoint in this behalf and different dates may be appointed for different districts.
