Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on January 15, 1986.
