Section 1. short title, extent and commencement

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Motor Vehicles Taxation Reforms Act, 2003, s.30(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1997. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint in this behalf and different dated may be appointed for different provisions.
