THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

112- (1) [The Apar Mukhya Nagar Adhikari, Upa Nagar Adhikari]5 and Sahayak Nagar Adhikari shall, subject to the control of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari, exercise such powers and perform such duties of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari as the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari may specify in this behalf. (2) All acts done and jurisdictions exercised by [the Apar Mukhya Nagar Adhikari or]6 the Upa Nagar Adhikari or the Sahayak Nagar Adhikari in pursuance of the powers delegated to him under sub-section (1) shall, for all purposes, be deemed to have been performed and done by the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari. (3) [The Mukhya Abhiyanta]7, the Nagar Swasthya Adhikari, the Mukhya Nagar Lekha Parikshak and such other officers as may be specified by the State Government shall be called the Heads of the Departments or the [Corporation]4 and shall perform such duties and shall exercise such powers as are imposed upon them by or under this Act or any other enactment for the time being in force.
