Section 235. Power of Mukhya Nagar Adhikari to require drain or pro- posed drain to be so constructed as to form part of general system

235- (1) Where a person proposes to construct a drain, the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari may, if he considers that the proposed drain is or is likely to be needed to form part of a general drainage system which the [Corporation]1 has provided or proposes to provide, require him to construct the drain in a manner differing, as regards material or size of pipes, depth, fall, direction or outfall or otherwise from the manner in which he proposes to construct, and thereupon it shall be the duty of such person to comply with the requisition of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari. (2) The Mukhya Nagar Adhikari shall reimburse from the [Corporation]1 Fund to the person constructing a drain in accordance with sub- section (1), the extra expenditure reasonably incurred by him in complying with the requisition and until the drain becomes a [Corporation]1 drain, he shall also from time to time reimburse to him from the [Corporation]1 Fund so much of any expenses reasonably incurred by him in repairing or maintaining it as may be attributable to the requisition having been made and complied With.
