Section 269. Obligations of [Corporation] imposing water-tax

269- Where water-tax is levied on any building or land it shall be incumbent on the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari to make provision; for supply of water to owners and occupiers of such buildings or land in such manner, during such time and in such quantity as may be prescribed by rules: Provided that the Mabapalika shall not be liable to any forfeiture, penalty or damages for failure to supply water if the same arises from accident or from unusual drought or other unavoidable causes.
