THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

346- The Development Committee when it resolves that an Improvement Scheme which is likely to displace persons be framed, shall also by resolution, require the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari to frame a scheme (herein called housing scheme) for construction, maintenance and re-management of such and so many dwelling and shops as it may consider ought to be provided for persons who- (a) are displaced by the ,execution of any improvement scheme sanctioned under this Act, or (b) are likely to be displaced by the execution of any improvement scheme which it is intended to frame, or to submit to the State Government for sanction under this Act: Provided that the State Government may for reasons to be recorded in writing exempt a Development Committee from the liability under this section.
