THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

372- [(1)]1 The Tribunal shall perform the functions of the Court with reference to all acquisition of land for the [Corporation]2 for the purposes of this Act under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 : Provided that no such claim shall be entertained by the Tribunal, unless the claimant has deposited in Court such sum, not exceeding Rs. 7,000, as the Tribunal may fix, as security, for the costs, which in the event of the claimant's failure may be awarded against him. [(2) The Tribunal shall also perform the functions referred to in Chapter VII of the Uttar Pradesh Avas Evam Vikas Parishad Adhiniyam, 1965, as applicable to [Corporation] premises under section 129-A.]1
