Section 38. Registration to be in one ward and in one place

38- (1) No person shall be entitled to be registered ill the electoral roll for more than one ward in the same city. (2) No person shall be entitled to be registered in the electoral roll for any ward more than once. [(3) No person shall be entitled to be registered in the electoral roll for any ward; if his name is entered in any electoral roll pertaining to any other city, or to any [smaller urban area, transitional areas, cantonment or Gram Panchayat]3 unless he shows that his name has been struck, off such, electoral roll.]1
