THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

394- (1) As soon as a demolition order under section 393 has become operative, the owner of the building shall demolish it within the time limited in that behalf by the order, and if the building is not demolished within that time the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari may take measures to demolish the building and sell the materrals thereof. (2) Any expenses incurred by the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari under sub-section (1), after giving credit for the amount realized by sale of the materials, shall be payable by the owner of the building, and any surplus in the hands of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari after payment of such expenses shall be refunded to the Owner. (3) Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari under sub-section (2) may, within a period of one month, appeal to the Judge.
